Der Austrian Robotics Workshop soll Forscher, Experten und Praktiker zusammenbringen, die an verschiedenen Themen der Robotik arbeiten, um aktuelle Entwicklungen und Herausforderungen der Robotik und ihrer Anwendungen zu diskutieren. Die Neuauflage in Steyr zielt vor allem auf Robotikkompetenz im Produktionsbereich ab.

Der OAGM-Workshop bietet eine Plattform für die Präsentation und Diskussion von Forschungsfortschritten sowie aktuellen Projekten mit der OAGM/AAPR-Community.

Das Symposium wird von zwei unabhängigen Gruppen organisiert:

  • OAGM befasst sich mit Bildverarbeitung und Computer Vision
  • ARW (Austrian Robotics Workshop) befasst sich mit Robotern und Automatisierung, Zusammenarbeit zwischen Mensch und Maschine.

PROFACTOR ist auf der Hannover Messe 2019 – Weltleitmesse der Industrie – gemeinsam mit der UAR mit dem Thema Flexible Production Systems vertreten (Halle 2, Stand A44). Die Messe findet von 01. bis 05. April in Hannover statt.

Algorithmen lassen Aufträge und Maschinen „feilschen“

Eine flexible Produktion wird die Zukunft prägen. Sie schafft allerdings eine enorme Komplexität. Schon das Setting einer Handvoll unterschiedlicher, in Frage kommender Maschinen bei einer Handvoll unterschiedlicher Aufgaben, lässt herkömmliche Methoden zur Optimierung scheitern. Nicht einmal die theoretisch zur Verfügung stehende Rechenleistung aller Computer der Welt würde in diesen Fällen mathematische Lösungen ermöglichen. PROFACTOR löst das Problem mit einem neuen Algorithmus: Er lässt Aufträge und zur Verfügung stehende Maschinen miteinander „feilschen“. Damit werden Ergebnisse erzielt, die dem globalen Optimum bislang näherkommen als alle anderen Ansätze. Der Showcase auf der HMI zeigt anhand einer Produktionsaufgabe: Nicht die Rechenleistung ist entscheidend, sondern der Einsatz eines intelligenten Algorithmus.

Paper Electronic Submission – ARW and OAGM 2019

The review process is double-blind, please take this into account when preparing your submission. All submission types should be submitted before the deadline via the EasyChair conference system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=oagm2019). Papers should be formatted according to the style of IEEE R&A conferences (templates are available for download at the conference homepage). Please indicate the submission type: (a) Research paper or (b) industrial or scientific spotlight paper. We strongly encourage students to submit as principal (first) author a paper to this joint workshop. All submissions will be subject to peer-review by at least three members of the program committee and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding author. Only submissions with at least one author as registered and presenting participant will be included in the workshop proceedings. Workshop proceedings will be published in digital format (with ISBN).

The Austrian Robotics Workshop and OAGM Workshop will take place from May 9-10, 2019 in Steyr. The workshops are organized by two independent groups. 

  • OAGM addresses image processing, and computer vision
  • ARW (Austrian Robotics Workshop) addresses robots and automation, human-machine collaboration.

The Austrian Robotics Workshop aims to bring together researchers, experts and practitioners working on various robotics topics to discuss current developments and challenges in robotics and its applications. The new edition in Steyr is primarily aimed at robotics competence in the production area.

The OAGM workshop provides a platform for presentation and discussion of research progress as well as current projects with the OAGM/AAPR community.

The programme includes four invited talks, oral  and poster presentations of reviewed contributions in plenum and parallel sessions. This will provide opportunities to share ideas and discuss technical details.
